Our History

Bethel Covenant Family Church International traces its humble beginnings to a small yet powerful early morning prayer gathering in 2004, held at Plot 17, Victoria Olayemi Boulevard, Benja Area, Ota. Initiated by the founding family, this gathering soon became a place of divine encounter, drawing in members of the local community who thirsted for deeper spiritual experiences. In 2005, a pivotal shift occurred when God gave a divine instruction to establish a monthly covenant night—a non-denominational service designed to provide profound spiritual insights into the coming month. These meetings quickly gained widespread recognition due to the undeniable manifestations of divine prophecies and the testimonies that followed.

As the impact of these gatherings grew, attendees began to express a strong desire for a structured church community. However, under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Ademola David Adeleke, the decision to formally establish a church was approached with prayer and caution, awaiting clear divine guidance. During this period, individuals such as Deaconess Patience Mosimabale, Deaconess Faith Adeku, and Evangelist Bola Shodipo sought deeper spiritual counsel, prompting Pastor Mrs. Funmilayo Bolanle Adeleke to intercede in prayer.

With God’s approval and the formal commissioning of Pastor Ademola David Adeleke, Bethel Covenant Family Church International was officially established on October 1, 2007. The inaugural event, titled “Divine Encounter with God”, was initially a two-week program but soon expanded to twice a week due to its growing impact and attendance.

A defining moment in the church’s journey came on Sunday, January 2, 2011, when a divine instruction led to the commencement of regular Sunday services. Since then, Bethel Covenant Family Church International has experienced unparalleled growth and spiritual elevation, transitioning from glory to glory under the unwavering guidance of the Holy Spirit.
